How is the course estructured?
Session 1: Understanding Childbirth Physiology
In this session, we explore the physical, emotional, and hormonal aspects of the childbirth process. This will give you a detailed understanding of what your body truly needs to give birth without unnecessary discomfort.
We’ll also delve into mental preparation, helping you transform any fears into confidence. You’ll gain practical tools to navigate your childbirth experience with a sense of calm, and you’ll learn about the different stages of labour, so you’ll know what to expect at each phase.
Session 2: Practical Hypnobirthing Techniques
During this session, we’ll both understand and practise the specific tools of Hypnobirthing. These include techniques like connecting your mind and body, achieving deep relaxation, introducing positive concepts related to pregnancy and childbirth through visualisation and positive language, as well as incorporating effective breathing techniques, massages, and concentration exercises.
We’ll also cover active birthing techniques, such as various positions and the use of rebozo techniques.
Session 3: Informed Decision-Making and Interventions
In this session, we’ll address interventions based on the most current medical evidence, legal aspects of protocols, and an understanding of your rights. This knowledge empowers you to make well-informed decisions for both you and your baby at every step of the journey.
We’ll also focus on how to make decisions that are appropriate for both you and your baby’s well-being.
Session 4: Navigating Labour’s Different Phases
Here, we’ll explore the various stages of labour and discuss the tools you can utilise in each of them. We’ll also touch on the options available to you regarding where you choose to give birth.
Session 5: Postpartum and Breastfeeding
In this session, we’ll delve into important topics like breastfeeding and postpartum care. This knowledge will empower you to feel prepared not only for childbirth but also for the beautiful journey that comes afterward.
